Read this first
The main idea behind this library is that you uncompress it somewhere where make, cpp and sed are available, and run "make package." You will then be prompted about the inclusion of each module available in the library, and the resulting JavaScript file will be compacted and tailored to your specific needs. No bloatware or feature creep here! For most of my AJAX projects, I usually get away with less than 5kb.

Quick note about DHTML which saved me considerable pain, remember that MSIE has limited .innerHTML capabilities:
